Library
Our three libraries are designed to support different modes of learning, from quiet study zones and tech-enabled reading rooms to open areas for collaborative work. With curated collections, journal access, and digital infrastructure, they’re made for students and researchers who learn in different ways and at different paces. The Indian Academy Library and Information Centre boasts an extensive collection of titles spanning various fields, from standard course textbooks and reference materials to cutting-edge research literature. Additionally, the library subscribes to a wide range of periodicals and research journals across disciplines, with regular updates based on recommendations from both staff and the Library Advisory Committee.
The IAGI Libraries offer a range of services to facilitate convenient access to reference materials, including ready-reference support, locker facilities, computer-assisted retrieval, and inter-library loan options, including collaboration with renowned institutions such as the British Library. Furthermore, these libraries are streamlined and automated using the Easy Lib Library Automation Software for efficient management and accessibility.
In addition to the traditional library resources, digital library services are available that enable students andstaff to access resources from other public libraries, databases, e-learning portals like National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) etc
World-Class Labs
Our laboratories support a wide range of disciplines with robust infrastructure and essential equipment. These spaces are actively used for experiential learning and combining experimentation with research. Departments such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Genetics, Microbiology, Physics, and Psychology have access to fully equipped labs featuring high-end instrumentation. Dedicated Language and Business/Commerce Labs further expand our hands-on learning ecosystem.
These facilities are designed to foster a strong research culture among both students and faculty. Advanced labs in Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, and Genetic Engineering offer cutting-edge environments for specialised exploration.
We also take pride in our state-of-the-art Nursing Labs. Built to simulate real-world clinical settings, these labs are equipped with modern technology and simulation tools to help nursing students develop practical skills. Here, they can refine patient care techniques, practise procedures, and navigate complex healthcare scenarios in a safe, controlled environment.
